About This Lesson
This two week unit plan that overs the historical period of the Middle Ages during the first week, and the Bubonic Plague or “Black Death” being the focus of the second week. The first week of unit consists of lectures, digital media presentations, and traditional note taking. The second week of instruction is more hand’s on for the students, as I created a WebQuest with a series of tasks for the students to explore and complete. The tasks include documentary video, a series of questions to answer following the reading of the history on the Bubonic Plague, map assignment, online journal, and social media assignments. These tasks include differentiated learning, anchored instruction, authentic assessment, and the use of technology as an educational tool.
