About This Lesson

A Christmas themed mini murder mystery for math class. I'd allow working in pairs to find the murderer; victim; when; where and why. Students will probably require a calculator for this.

I was looking for a holiday review activity that would keep students interested and would have them strive to get the answers correct. This activity has that built right in! Thanks for sharing.

I used this with 6th & 7th grade students working in small groups. They loved it!!! This is a lesson that will require students to persevere to find the solution. When the first group in my 6th grade class found the solution they were so excited they started dancing! No student EVER gets up and dances when we just give them the answer. But they do when we allow them to conquer the challenge.

Great Review & Very Engaging

I used this with my virtual 6th grade math class. They really enjoyed it. I appreciated the built in review and practice. I did laugh to myself when I was giving feedback because I would write or say things like, "The angel did not murder the snowman." People wondered what I was talking about. This is a great resource.
