About This Lesson
I did this cut and stick timeline activity at the end of the topic on Nelson Mandela. This was great for assessment as I was able to find out if children knew the events in chronological order. There are three differentiated timeline handouts for each ability level. For the higher ability children; they can put in the dates for events and for the less able children; they have the words past and present to avoid confusion.
This is not a lesson or a plan. This activity would only have value when in the context of a full lesson plan with instructional strategies, learning objectives, assessments, and differentiated activities.
