About This Lesson
You know when you ask a class to produce a poster and they spend 90% of their time on the title and leave no time for the content. This makes it clear to them how they can do well. As you enter the scores their rank in the class is also displayed to spice things up. you could even ask the students to plan how they are going to allocate their time to maximise their marks! This isn’t only for posters - you could adapt it for coursework and publish it on your intranet. the maximum marks are changeable as are the names of the categories.
This a delightfully simple idea that can be adapted to fit a wide range of assessment opportunities.
