About This Lesson
Students will be learning about the different kinds of rocks, where rocks are found, what rocks are made of, and how rocks are used. They will view rocks in a new and more global way. They will learn that rocks are not just something you walk on. Rocks are useful as building materials and are found everywhere in the world. Through these resources, the study of rocks will enhance the students' engagement, knowledge and appreciation for rocks.
The lesson, Everybody Needs a Rock, is for five days.
