About This Lesson

One image is of The Great Central Railway was completed in 1899 and here the stationmaster and his family can be seen outside their new home near to the station building. The line was closed in the 1960s and is now largely dismantled. The second image is of The Drawing Room at Foots Cray Place in Bexley. It was built in circa 1756 and burnt down in 1950. The furnishings seen here are typical of the late 19th century. Use the attached webpage for further images related to the 1900’s.

The tags are for Britain's standard and not U.S. The second image link is not working. These images do not have much use in U.S. standards. They MIGHT be used in World History 9,10 for before WWI pictures to show damage from the war.
