About This Lesson
An article telling the story of a young Afghan man who spent some time in France before managing to get across to the UK - very useful for background knowledge of the topic and for comparing the situation for immigrants in the two countries. I got my students to create a timeline of his journey; and then they did a roleplay speaking activity based on it; but the article could be used for all sorts of tasks - feel free to adapt!
