About This Lesson
Students will learn about the story depicted in the Incense Burner with Sun God Face, as well as how it was used and why. They will discuss themes of transformation, power, honor, and fear, and how these themes are reflected in their own lives. To process and synthesize their understanding, students More… will write a poem or story reflective of the themes and design a top for the Incense Burner that incorporates them.
