About This Lesson

Keyhole Gardens are a great addition to any school grounds and there is a huge amount of scope for using them in teaching, especially around sustainable learning. Topics you could cover include: composting, waste, food issues and climate change. The files on the first web link show how to make the Ugandan style version and the rocky Lesothan version. Also, see how staff at Send a Cow made a Ugandan style garden in the UK in the Powerpoint - then make your own! If you would like to know more and use our kit, follow the second link which also shows a video of children making one in Lesotho.
