This is a really nice activity to use when working with fractions (it does require knowledge of similar triangles to complete fully). Students are asked what fractions are formed by folding a square in certain ways, they can investigate this in a manner of ways which are suggested in the teachers notes. This would make a really nice problem solving lesson where students are developing their ability to apply their knowledge and work systematically. Thank you for sharing.
