About This Lesson

In this segment, Brian, Cierra and Samantha continue exploring wind with a series of experiments in the Channel 10 studio. Where do the forces come from the cause the wind to blow? Ultimately, air moves because it is heated (so it rises) or it cools (so it falls), something we call convection or advection. In this segment, we set up a convection cell in a fish tank and look at rising fog in the Cauldron of Convection. Tags: Little Shop of Physics, Colorado State University, Brian Jones, K-12, Physics
