About This Lesson
Students read excerpts from All Quiet on the Western Front and then create Found Poems using the text. As an extension, students can write their own letters home from the trenches. Ideally, the room is set up with appropriate size trenches and students sit on the floor or under their desks. Images of the trenches can be found to help visualize each section of text.
