In the Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson written By Bette Bao Lord.The book is set in 1947, and Jackie Robinson, star of the Brooklyn Dodgers, is everyone's hero. Shirley Temple Wong who leaves a secure life within her clan in China after WWII. She is sassy! The book as a great for the 4-8 middle grades. I have had a great time with my middle school students with this text. The Project Hyperdoc choice Board Grid Template is brief on page, but time is short til school's out for summer. Let me know if you get it on slides, please. I adore this book. I think it would be wonderful to try to hook kids up for the summer this way with the hyperdoc.
