Biography
I am a Coast Guard veteran, turned Biology teacher. Students will find me teaching sciences in the High School Academic Achievement Center, where I'll be reteaching and complementing instruction they will receive from their classroom teachers. I am a lucky wife and mom to 3 amazing kids! I love science and have developed a passion for teaching.
I want to provide a more positive experience for my students. I believe that all students CAN learn and all students WANT to learn. As a life-long learner, myself, I hope to instill a love for learning in my students. I use interactive lesson plans and tend to favor the "flipped" classroom to keep students engaged and help them learn/understand new concepts.
