About This Lesson

Math or Foods class students can link the two together through this activity. This will also work for a business class! Students learn how to price a menu item and add on a base percent to make a profit. This lesson is different than other math and business math problems since they are required to find the single price of each item, or ounce. Then find the recipe price for the amount being used and add it together to make a recipe price. Then divide that by servings and divide that by .35 making the profit margin.
