About This Lesson
In this lesson, students will reflect on their own perceptions of those
with intellectual disabilities. They then will be challenged to complete
an extraordinarily challenging task and relate the experience to the
frustrations and feelings that those with intellectual disabilities are
often faced with daily. This lesson would work well in a unit that explores civic responsibility,
inclusion, or social justice.
