About This Lesson
Students explore the theme of perseverance through read-alouds of fiction and nonfiction, an experiential activity, group discussions, and collaborative writing activities. Discussions focus on the meaning of perseverance and its applications to students’ lives. This lesson can also be incorporated into the physical education curriculum to promote teamwork and increase behaviors associated with perseverance.
