About This Lesson

Ancestral Puebloan History:

Students will understand the history and importance of pottery to the Native culture by learning about the various uses of pottery, techniques in designing and making pottery, and by creating their own unique piece of pottery.  They will be able to see the various uses for pottery throughout time. By learning the importance of pottery, students will be able to acknowledge it as a meaningful symbol of cultural ideology and lifestyle among the Ancestral Puebloans and Native Americans today.
