About This Lesson

Submitted to the EQuIP Review Panel by Great Minds in partnership with New York State Department of Education. Designed to wrap up the year, students further develop their spatial reasoning skills and begin laying the groundwork for an understanding of area through composition of geometric figures. The lesson covers ten days of instruction and focuses on the following standards: K.CC.4, K.G.5, K.g.6, PK.CC.6, PK.G.3, PK.G.4, and mathematical practices 1, 4, 6, and 7.
