About This Lesson
This assignment can be used for a wide variety of courses and ages. I use it in my AP Environmental science class early in the year. It helps to set the tone for the class. Students need to analyze their footprint data and apply what they know about our nonrenewable resources. It always generates great discussion. Be careful not to put anyone on the spot. Often the size of their footprint has more to due with their parents income level than any other factor.
