About This Lesson
This lesson plan was designed to teach first graders about Duke Ellington and Jazz music. The activity begins by reading aloud the book, "Duke Ellington" and discussing what the students learned from him . Included in the resource are the learning standards, objectives, required materials, step-by-step instruction and possible activity extensions.
Good lesson but may need some steps in between to maximize the learning for the students.
