About This Lesson

There are National Parks all around the world and each one can show us examples of a warming planet. Petroglyph National Monument is a small 7,000 acres park located on the westside of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Petroglyph National Monument is not exempt from the effects of global warming and the changing climate. There are many different ways that a warming planet impacts the land and its environment. This lesson will give students many different options to explore and to learn about local and global climate change.
