About This Lesson

This resource is a story on Student News Net's 2015 visit to the Wilson Sporting Goods football factory where all Super Bowl footballs are made by hand and machines. From this current event of great interest to students, the multidisciplinary lesson plan includes prompts to scaffold students in critically thinking about supply and demand. In addition, the lesson plan includes an introduction to the composition of air and the oxygen-carbon dioxide cycle between plants and humans.
