About This Lesson

Kianna Pittman’s journey into Career and Technical Education (CTE) began as a high school senior uncertain about her future. After meeting Ms. Chapman, the career coordinator at Woodruff Career and Technical Center, she discovered a path through construction trades that led to a paid internship at Alcast Company. Despite the challenges of being one of the few women in the field, Kianna embraced the opportunity. She now works full-time at Alcast, balancing her job and an associate degree in industrial applied sciences, and is passionate about opening doors for other women in her industry. Learn more about her inspiring story with the attached resource.
