About This Lesson
The students investigate the concepts of uniqueness and diversity and discover that all groups represent overlapping areas of similarities and differences that may be visible or invisible. This lesson can be incorporated into a language arts unit on reading and writing poetry and the use of descriptive language. This lesson can also extend to health units on self-concept and respect for others and social studies units on diversity, friendship, and community.
